‘A Christmas Mix’ Concert – POSTPONED
Unfortunately this fundraising concert has had to be cancelled for now due to a significant outbreak of COVID-19 among the Chorus. It’s hoped to reschedule it at the same venue early in the new year. ***WATCH THIS SPACE!***
Previous info… This is a charity concert by St Peter’s Church and Grand Central Chorus in aid of The Ruddington Pantry. ‘A Christmas Mix’ is at 8pm on Wednesday 6th December inside the Church.
Organisers have laid on about an hour of Christmas songs from the Shows and Pop Classics. You can expect a 40-strong Barbershop chorus, who’re five times UK gold medalists, says Mike Houghton.
Mike is one of the leaders at St Peter’s Church and a singer with Grand Central Chorus: “Most people are enthralled when they see a barbershop chorus for the first time as we sing ‘a cappella’ and without copy, performing to the songs to provide emotional or inspiring interpretations as appropriate. Some of of St Peter’s own musicians are performing as a support act under the name of ‘The Three Ds’.”
Admission is free with a collection for The Ruddington Pantry.
Doors open 7.30pm and the Show starts at 8.00pm.
